Another physiotherapist thinks outside the square!
While more and more of us face the weekly challenges of running a private practice, it’s great to see physiotherapists who think outside the square. In the past I have written about Archies Thongs created by Daniel Jones and Clinic Armour led by Darren Ross, who is now involved in the development of artificial intelligence for patient note taking. I’ve also mentioned creations such as Back Balls by Mark Alexander and Premax massage therapy solutions and skin care by Randall Cooper.More recently I’ve learned about Purifas, which has been developed by a physiotherapist by the name of Ibrahim Samaan. He is the founder and CEO of Purifas.Ibrahim is a physiotherapist who has developed face shields to improve hygiene and reduce bacterial transfer between patients and he has some very encouraging research. I encourage you to have a look at his site and the products. |
As we know, the customer experience is often equally as important as the clinical treatment that the patient receives. Think about how you would feel putting your face in a treatment bed hole and questioning whether or not the physiotherapist has appropriately sanitised the area between patients!! Most patients probably wouldn’t say anything but they will be thinking of that. After all, wouldn’t you? Maybe you have a good idea. Maybe you can harness your physiotherapy skills and experience to develop a product that positively affects the industry and our customers like so many others have before you. You never know where it might lead. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or queries or if you would like to discuss ideas further either via my mobile (0439347339) or email (antony@antonyhirstconsulting.com.au). Kind Regards, Antony Hirst |
